Service Award Interview with Emily Ford
4/29 | White Papers
Our first Service Award Interview is with Emily Ford, Marketing Specialist, who is celebrating her five year anniversary at TowerPinkster.
What was your best moment at TowerPinkster?
There are a few! I feel like its been a good day when someone tells me that I helped them grow or learn something new. Also, working on the design and launch of our new company website was probably the largest, most challenging project I've ever taken on, but it also produced the greatest sense of accomplishment!
What advice can you give to young people who are interested to join the field?
Keep your options open, and stay true to where your talents are and what interests you most. Also, the workforce is like an extension of the classroom; you will never stop learning.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Elementary/Middle School: Meteorologist
High School: Interior Designer
What everyday thing are you better at than anyone else?
I'm nowhere near perfect, but I think I do a pretty good job as a new working mom. I don't think anyone could be a better mom to my 4-month old son than me!
What do you listen to while you work?
A variety of Pandora stations ranging from Classic Rock to Hip Hop and R&B. I also listen to myself read sentences out loud...sometimes that's the only way I can edit a piece of writing!
What's the best advice you've ever received?
Do what you love. Treat others as you would want to be treated. Work hard, be patient and as a result good things will come.
