TowerPinkster Welcomes Two New Board Members and Seven Employees

May 31, 2016 – TowerPinkster, an architecture and engineering firm specializing in education, health care, commercial and government building design, is experiencing continued growth in the West Michigan market and has announced the appointment of two new board members and seven new employees.

New Board Members:
TowerPinkster is proud to announce the addition of two new members to its Board of Directors; Adam Doubblestein and Matt Slagle.

Adam Doubblestein, PE, CPMP, LEED AP BD+C, joins TowerPinkster’s Board of Directors. Adam is a licensed engineer and ASHRAE-certified commissioning process management professional with more than 17 years in the industry. He leads the firm’s government market sector and is responsible for business development and marketing efforts.  Adam serves as Project Principal, Project Manager and Senior Engineer for clients such as the State of Michigan, Michigan Department of Corrections, Gerald R. Ford International Airport, Kent County, Grand Rapids Home for Veterans, Grand Valley State University and Meijer. He is a volunteer for the Kent ISD Engineering Explorer’s and STEM programs, as well as a member of the Grand Rapids 2030 District, and Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce – Chamber Open Golf Committee. Adam has also been involved with ASHRAE for 19 years and has been a member of the West Michigan Chapter Board, holds positions on three society technical committees, and is currently an incoming regional chairman.

Matt Slagle, AIA, NCARB, CPTED, LEED AP, is a registered architect and has been a senior designer within the firm’s K-12 market for the past 10 years. Also based in TowerPinkster’s Grand Rapids office, he was recently promoted to Director of K-12 Education and plays an instrumental role in expanding and strengthening the firm’s education market through both innovative design approaches and business development leadership. Some of his recent work includes projects for Northview Public Schools, Kalamazoo Public Schools, Byron Center Public Schools and the Battle Creek Area Math & Science Center. Matt also serves on the Board of Directors for Grand Rapids Public Schools Academy of Design, and the Cannonsburg Challenged Ski Association.

New Hires:
TowerPinkster is proud to welcome: Zachary Verhulst, Amber Anderson, Craig Newhouse, Greg Adamczyk, and Arthur Ueck, who were hired to support TowerPinkster’s continued growth.

Zachary Verhulst joins the team as an architectural technician. He received his Master of Architecture from Lawrence Technological University. Zachary is also NAAB Accredited, and a member of West Michigan Minority Contractors Association, and the National Society of Leadership and Success.

Amber Anderson, LEED AP, brings more than ten years of experience to TowerPinkster as an interior designer. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Kendall College of Art & Design and is a LEED Accredited Professional.

Craig Newhouse, LLA, ASLA, LEED AP, is a landscape architect with expertise in site planning and design, and interior gardenscape design. He is a Licensed Landscape Architect and a LEED Accredited Professional. Craig brings more than 20 years of experience in the industry with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from Michigan State University. 

Gregory Adamczyk, PE, is a Professional Engineer with over six years of engineering experience in consulting, maintenance engineering, and project management. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Western Michigan University.

Arthur Ueck joins the team as an architectural technician. He received his bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Sustainability from Ferris State University. While at Ferris State, Arthur was the Secretary for the Student American Institute of Architecture Professional Organization.

TowerPinkster has also welcomed two new interns. Andreas Argoudelis is on the team as a mechanical design intern. He is currently pursuing his bachelor’s degree at Western Michigan University. Caleb Martin has joined TowerPinkster, interning with the electrical engineering team as electrical design intern while pursuing a bachelor’s degree at Western Michigan University.
